The Officer Under Fire Perpetrator is a Sparring Partner for the Range. This remote-controlled range robot is human-like in appearance and movement, which shoots at police officers in the range. The range instructor runs the controls while watching a video screen from the view of the Perpetrator camera downrange. Trainee's real bullets impact the Perpetrator Target Body, which gives a hit indication while the rubber balls fly toward trainees with the assistance of a red dot sight displayed on the video screen. An Active Target Body Arm holds various objects for decision making scenarios. Post-training review allows trainees to review their tactics from the eyes of bad guy from downrange.
The Officer Under Fire system fulfills U.S. District and Supreme Court mandates upon law enforcement being: stress inoculation, moving and shooting, shooting at a moving target and live exercises of shoot/don’t shoot scenario training.
